Uzbekistan abolishes quotas for Umrah
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Umrah quotas were canceled in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the deputy chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Nurijmon Abdulhasan.
The prices for Umrah pilgrimage were also increased. Earlier, the price was 13.65 million soums. For this price, pilgrims were usually accommodated in two or three star hotels, and the quality of food did not meet the requirements.
According to Abdulhasan, the cost of Umrah will now be more than 5.8 million soums without air tickets and pilgrims will be provided with a five or four star hotel, free medical care, Uzbek cuisine, transport, etc.
At the same time, the cost of a ticket for flights on route “Toshkent - Jeddah - Toshkent” is more than 5 million soums.
