Uzbekistan abolishes mandatory export of textile products

The changes to legislation were introduced in line with the presidential resolution “On forecast of main macroeconomic figures and parameters of State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2015”.

It is worth to mention that abolishment of mandatory exports will allow textile enterprises to increase supplies of their products in internal market and avoid financial losses in difficult conditions in external markets.

In line with the legislation, textile enterprises, buying textile yarn, fabrics, stockinet and waste of cotton-spinning for hard currency in internal market, should export at least 80% of products, produced from these half-finished products.
