Uzbekenergo and JICA expand cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The management of Uzbekenergo met with the Deputy Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mr. Kei Toyama.

The meeting discussed the current state and promising areas of cooperation in the electricity industry. The sides considered the implementation of investment projects, implemented with the participation of advanced Japanese technology.

The parties reached an agreement on deepening long-term and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekenergo and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Also during the meeting, new areas of mutual cooperation were announced, the documents for which are planned to be signed during the 14th meeting of the Uzbek-Japanese and Japanese-Uzbek Committee for Economic Cooperation in Tokyo on 25 October 2018.
