Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A ceremony of summing up the results of the International Math Olympiad Challenge 2020 (SIMOC), which began on 31 October, took place in Singapore via videoconference.
About 1,120 schoolchildren from 15 countries took part in SIMOC.
Schoolchildren from Uzbekistan, Singapore, Indonesia, Iran, Brazil, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Mexico and India competed for the right to be called the best experts in exact science.
Uzbekistan was represented by 47 primary and secondary schoolchildren. They won 4 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals.
In the team competition, Uzbekistan’s young mathematicians entered the top ten countries in terms of the number of awards and knowledge in mathematics and logic.
