Uzbek World Karate Champion Gulshan Alimardonova to Receive Presidential Gift Car

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Gulshan Alimardonova, the first female WKF World Karate Champion in Uzbekistan’s history, will be awarded a BYD Song Plus DM-i UzPride vehicle.

The government of Uzbekistan decided to present the car as a gift from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Alimardonova, representing the national team, won the gold medal at the World Karate Championship held in Egypt.

In the final match of the under-50 kg weight category, she convincingly defeated Malaysian athlete Shahmalarani Chandran.

This victory is a historic achievement for Uzbek sports: Gulshan Alimardonova became the first female karateka from Uzbekistan to claim a WKF World Championship title.
