Uzbek Woman with Seven Children Returns Home from Samara Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek citizen N.T. and her seven minor children, who found themselves in a difficult situation in Russia’s Samara Region, have safely returned home with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, Dunyo reported.
According to the diplomatic mission, local law enforcement officers in Samara Region took the woman and her children into custody due to the absence of identification documents.
Subsequently, N.T. was placed in a Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Nationals, while her children were placed in a Temporary Detention Center for Juvenile Offenders before being handed over to the guardianship authorities in Samara.
Thanks to prompt negotiations between Uzbek diplomats and the competent authorities in Samara Region, an agreement was reached to return the family to Uzbekistan.
The woman and her children arrived in Uzbekistan on a Samara–Tashkent flight.
