Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  BBC has published its list of 100 inspiring and influential women in the world for 2024.

Among those named are Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nadia Murad, actress Sharon Stone, and entrepreneur from Uzbekistan Dilorm Yuldasheva.

Two years ago, Dilorm Yuldasheva suffered a tragic accident that resulted in the loss of both her legs. However, this hardship did not break her spirit.

She started her own sewing business, securing contracts to produce uniforms for workers and students. Thanks to her efforts, dozens of women were able to find jobs and earn a stable income.

BBC’s "100 Women" project emphasizes that, despite the numerous challenges faced by women worldwide, many continue to actively fight for change and play a key role in transforming society.
