Uzbek-Turkish technopark to be created in Almazar district of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the information on the website of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, one of the largest publications in Turkey - "Sabah" - published an article on a new stage of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey in the field of innovation. In particular, the article “Investments in a Technopark in Uzbekistan” deals with the financing of a large technological project covering various areas - the Almazar Technopark.

“Practical steps have been taken on the Turkish technopark project initiated by the government of Uzbekistan. The first step in this direction is Almazar Technopark in Tashkent. "

The technopark, which will be built at the suggestion of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, will house Turkish state and private companies working in the field of high technologies around the world. In addition to the allocation of land, the government of Uzbekistan will take over the infrastructure of the project, and research companies of our country will also be involved in the technopark. The Istanbul Technopark will be a Turkish participant in the project.

Mustafa Jankat Aytek, vice president of the Turkic World Solidarity Association and one of the "architects" of the investment, said that each side will receive 50 percent of the shares. Aytek also added that work continues on cooperation with other countries of the region.

Noting that in 2019 a delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Oybek Norinboev visited the Istanbul Technopark, Aytek provided the following information: during the visit, the Uzbek delegation and the Director General of the Istanbul Technopark Bilal Topchi signed a memorandum of cooperation, which includes, among other things, and the creation of a joint technopark in our country.

The Almazar Technopark will attract large-scale investments in the production of medical vaccines and drugs, unmanned aerial vehicles, the development of new technologies in the field of communications, as well as research in the field of agriculture and food.
