Uzbek, Tajik Interior Ministers discuss cooperation issues
The sides discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, illegal migration, human trafficking, and the rapid exchange of information.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan expressed the hope that close cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries will develop at an accelerated pace.
The ministers reviewed implementation of the agreements reached during the second meeting of the Uzbek-Tajik interdepartmental coordinating working group. The date and place of the third meeting of the working group were determined.
As a result of the meeting, the parties signed a joint plan of comprehensive measures for 2018-2019 to counteract the activities of extremist and terrorist structures in the Internet under the conditional name "Clearn Network" and the final protocol of the meeting.
