Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ten students from six leading universities in Uzbekistan — Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University in Tashkent, Amity University in Tashkent, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and the “New Uzbekistan” University — took part in an educational tour to China as part of Huawei’s annual flagship program, Seeds for the Future 2025.
The program took place in Dongguan and Shenzhen and included intensive courses on information and communication technologies, lectures by Huawei experts, visits to high-tech enterprises, and intercultural exchanges with students from 19 countries worldwide.
Training in Dongguan: Artificial Intelligence and 6G
From October 19 to 22, participants attended sessions at Huawei’s training center in Dongguan. Lecture topics covered the development of artificial intelligence technologies, the implementation of cloud solutions in the AI era, and the evolution of mobile networks from 5G and 5.5G to 6G.
Classes were conducted interactively, including group discussions and practical case studies. Students also visited Huawei’s innovation campus, which operates based on smart technologies.
“This trip to China was an inspiring experience. I was particularly impressed by the scale of Huawei’s research — out of 30,000 employees on campus, about 25,000 work in R&D. This visit motivated me to study 5G more deeply and apply technologies to create sustainable and smart cities,” shared Fakhria Dosmukhamedova, a student at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
In Shenzhen: Digital Energy and Smart Technologies
The second part of the program took place in Shenzhen, where participants explored Huawei’s solutions in renewable energy, smart systems for electric vehicles, and Huawei Device’s digital technologies.
Additionally, students visited leading Chinese companies DJI and Tencent, gaining insights into drone development, cloud services, and the digital entertainment industry.
“Seeds for the Future helped me see Huawei not just as a telecom company, but as a global leader in developing technologies for cloud solutions and data centers. This inspired me to pursue HCIA certification and participate in the ICT Competition in Cloud Computing,” noted Dilmurod Murodov, a student at Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
Cultural Exchange and Global Community
The program concluded with the traditional Global Village event, where students from 19 countries showcased their cultures, followed by a closing ceremony with Huawei leadership.
“What impressed me most was Huawei’s scale and attention to detail. It was especially gratifying to see students from other countries taking an interest in Uzbekistan, which is increasingly being recognized as Asia’s new startup hub,” remarked Mirvohid Azimov, a student at Inha University in Tashkent.
Supporting ICT Talent
Huawei has been implementing the Seeds for the Future program in Uzbekistan since 2015. During this time, 177 students from various universities in the country have participated. In 2025, the program brought together 703 students from 93 countries, bringing the total number of participants close to 20,000.
Huawei consistently supports ICT talent development, providing students and industry professionals with opportunities to enhance their skills and participate in international initiatives.
Currently, registration is ongoing for the ICT Competition 2025–2026, a new Huawei training center has opened at TUIT, and programs for partners and ICT industry specialists are being implemented.
