Uzbek special forces hold anti-terrorism drills

The report said that the forces of National Security Service, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situation and Ministry of Healthcare participated in the drills.

The drills were held in the territory of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK). In line with the scenario of the drills, terrorists attacked AGMK and captured hostages. The special services of Uzbekistan carried out operation to repel a terrorist attack on a strategic facility.

The Qalqon (Shield) and Burgut (Eagle) special teams successfully carried out operation and detained the terrorists.

The drills were also held in border area. In line with the scenario of the drills, the militants entered to the territory of Uzbekistan and the armed forces of Uzbekistan should detect and neutralize them. The military forces successfully realized the task.

Modern military equipment and heavy armored vehicles were used during the drills.
