The sides discussed practical steps to implement agreements achieved within the American-Uzbek business forum, which was held on 20 September 2017, during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in New York, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The parties expressed mutual interest in attracting American companies to development and modernization programs of industries in Uzbekistan.

The importance of attracting, above all, direct US investments and advanced technologies, brands and modern methods of corporate governance was noted.

In order to further expand bilateral investment and trade relations, the parties reached agreement on increasing the official and business contacts between representatives of Uzbekistan and the United States.
