Uzbek Senate Speaker and Serbian President Discuss Interparliamentary Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 October, Senate Chairperson of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to discuss prospects for cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
The meeting focused on strengthening interparliamentary relations, activating parliamentary friendship groups, implementing joint projects, and ensuring parliamentary oversight of agreements reached at the highest level.
President Vučić praised the extensive reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the wise leadership of the country’s head of state, highlighting Uzbekistan’s active foreign policy and stable economic growth.
The parties noted the steady development of friendly and trusting relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
It was emphasized that President Vučić’s visit to Uzbekistan marks a new phase in bilateral engagement, including the expansion of interparliamentary ties.
