Uzbek Senate discusses prospects for Uzbek-Polish inter-parliamentary cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 May 2025, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva held a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland Michał Kamiński.
During the meeting, the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Polish relations were discussed, with particular attention to expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, enriching it with new substance, and intensifying the exchange of experience in legislative activity and parliamentary oversight.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady development of inter-parliamentary dialogue between Uzbekistan and Poland. They emphasized their mutual interest in deepening interaction between the legislative bodies of the two countries in priority areas. Special attention was given to the work of parliamentary friendship groups and the regular exchange of delegations, which was noted as an important tool for strengthening bilateral partnership.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on building a strong foundation for cooperation in the fields of higher education, culture, tourism, healthcare, and agriculture. The parties discussed opportunities for student exchanges, professional development of specialists, and the implementation of joint educational programs and humanitarian projects.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue regular inter-parliamentary contacts.
