Uzbek-Russian cooperation in healthcare is developing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Possibilities for disseminating the best practices of Russian surgery were discussed at a meeting with a delegation of the Russian Scientific Center for Surgery (RSCS) named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky, in which the head of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part.

As was noted at the meeting by the Chairman of the National Chamber, Rovshan Izamov, effective cooperation with foreign, including Russian, scientific medical centers is an important component of advanced training for healthcare workers in Uzbekistan and preparation for the upcoming licensing of specialists in the field, provided for by presidential decree No. UP-5590 December 7, 2018.

Master classes and trainings based on modern technologies in the same surgery will provide not only the opportunity to master innovative methods of providing modern medical care, but also gain credit-modular points, which are an indicator of the doctor’s continuing professional growth.

In addition, as part of the introduction of a credit-modular system in the healthcare sector, the National Chamber is conducting analytical work in the direction of simulation centers, which will become an important element in the implementation of licensing of healthcare professionals.

In this regard, the Russian experience is of considerable interest in building a system of such centers and choosing the best models that have proved their effectiveness. Also, simulation centers should become a modern and significant part of clinical training, to which they can be involved, and Russian surgeons of the RSCS. Moreover, such training is considered with particular emphasis on the regions of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the territorial divisions of the National Chamber can establish close cooperation with both state and private medical organizations.

The Russian Scientific Center for Surgery plans to develop interaction with both. This is evidenced by two agreements concluded by the RSCS in the framework of this visit, held at the end of February, with the Republican Specialized Surgery Center named after Academician V. Vakhidov and the private medical clinic "SHIFO NUR".

As noted by the head of the RSCH, doctor of medical sciences Professor Igor Semenyakin, this famous Russian medical center revives the tradition of close cooperation with colleagues from Uzbekistan. During the round table held during the visit, a great interest was noted in the fruitful development of the Uzbek-Russian cooperation in the field of healthcare, including through the use of the capabilities of the National Chamber of Innovative Health and the initiatives it proposed.
