Imam Bukhari is held in deep reverence throughout the Islamic world, and the number of pilgrims wishing to visit his sacred resting place continues to grow each year. In response to this, a new complex is being constructed to accommodate the increasing flow of visitors.
The head of state reviewed the current progress of the construction. The total area of the complex has been expanded to 44 hectares. Construction of the mausoleum, a mosque capable of hosting 10,000 worshippers, and four minarets has already been completed.
The new complex is designed to serve not only as a religious pilgrimage site but also as a center for education and enlightenment. It will include a museum, administrative buildings, hotels, and auxiliary facilities. Hadiths from the renowned collection Sahih al-Bukhari will adorn the portals and the walls of the iwans.
The President was briefed on the conditions created within the complex, with particular emphasis placed on the importance of further landscaping and the development of green alleys to enhance the overall atmosphere of the site.
