Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signeda Law "On Geodetic and Cartographic Activities".
The law defines the main directions of state policy in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities, as well as the powers of the relevant state bodies in this area.
A specially authorized state body in the field of geodetic and cartographic activities is the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and the State Cadastre.
In accordance with the Law, geodetic and cartographic works are of national and special (industry) purpose.
Also, the Law establishes the basic requirements for the implementation of geodetic and cartographic activities.
Licensing of geodetic and cartographic activities or certain types of work in this area are determined by the Government.
The license is issued to legal entities without limitation of its validity.
Materials obtained as a result of work of national importance, financed from the State budget, are subject to examination.
Products of geodetic and cartographic activities created at the expense of the State budget, including materials of the state cartographic and geodetic fund, are the property of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The law takes effect after three months from the date of its official publication.
