Uzbek President sets zero duty and excise tax on sugar and sucrose

The document was adopted to further optimizing the rates of customs payments and preventing the growth of domestic prices for certain types of food products.

Uzbek President set zero rate of import customs duty and excise tax for cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose, in the solid state, from 15 September 2017.

President of Uzbekistan instructed the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan to ensure timely and unhindered customs clearance of imported socially significant goods in accordance with the established procedure.
