Uzbek leader underlined important role of parliaments of the two countries in strengthening friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, expanding traditionally close and multifaceted cooperation.

It was particularly noted that South Korea is one of the key and reliable partners of Uzbekistan. Today, contacts are intensively developing at various levels, both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.

During the talks, importance of further strengthening partnership between the parliaments of the two countries and their profile committees, enhancing activities of parliamentary friendship and cooperation groups, organizing regular mutual visits and joint events in Uzbekistan and South Korea, was noted.

The sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in promoting joint trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian projects, as well as cooperation within the framework of international inter-parliamentary structures.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Chung Sye-kyun assured that by joint efforts the parliaments of the two countries will make a practical contribution to the preparation of the forthcoming summits and further deepening of bilateral relations of strategic partnership.
