Uzbek President receives outgoing US envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Uzbekistan George Krol at presidential residence Oqsaroy. George Krol is wrapping up his mission in Uzbekistan, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said.

Uzbek leader underlined positive dynamics of the Uzbek-US relations in all spheres of mutual interest. President highly rated personal contribution of the US Ambassador George Krol to gradual strengthening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

In his turn, the US diplomat expressed gratitude to Uzbek President for warm reception and said that during his work in Uzbekistan he witnessed important political events, efficient reforms in economy, social and other spheres. He said that these makes Uzbekistan as demanded and perspective partners in international arena.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on other issues of mutual interest.

It is worth to mention that George Krol will head the US diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan. Pamela Leora Spratlen will be Ambassador of the USA to Uzbekistan.
