Uzbek President proposes to expand right of parliaments
Speaking at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 21st anniversary of Constitution of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov offered to create corresponding changes to Constitution of Uzbekistan to expand rights and authorities of the Senate and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek President said that the parliament should not limited with inspection of the execution of the adopted laws, but should also strengthen control over activities of the Cabinet of Ministers and executive bodies, as well as participate in solving important internal and external policies, as well as strategic tasks.
President Islam Karimov said that Oliy Majlis and local Councils of People’s Deputies should regularly consider reports on activities of the executive bodies and adopt corresponding decisions.
