Uzbek-Omani political consultations held in Muscat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Delegations of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Oman held political consultations in Muscat on 11-12 November 2013.

During the negotiations with the Secretary-General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, the sides considered current state and perspectives of bilateral cooperation in politics, economics, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as interaction within the international and regional organizations, including the UN and the OIC.

The sides also discussed issues of participating Omani businesses in implementation of joint investment projects in special industrial zone Angren and free industrial-economic zone Navoi, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

At the meeting, the sides carried out monitoring of the agreement-legal base of bilateral cooperation and considered perspectives of its expansion.

The sides also discussed dates of holding next session of the intergovernmental commission on investment and trade, as well as session of the Uzbek-Omani Business Council.

Within the visit to Muscat, the delegation of Uzbekistan held several meetings and negotiations at ministries and departments of Oman.
