Uzbek MFA hosts meeting with the European Parliament delegation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Members of the delegation of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs, who arrived in Tashkent within the framework of regular inter-parliamentary dialogue in Uzbekistan – EU format, held meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The state and perspectives of development of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, investment, scientific-educational, cultural-humanitarian and other fields, issues of legislative support of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union were discussed at the meeting, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

Particular attention was paid to preparation of the parties for the negotiation process on the draft Agreement on enhanced partnership and cooperation, which is designed to bring relations between Uzbekistan and the EU to a qualitatively new level.

The sides also exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
