Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Afghan bazar carpets enterprise in the city of Termez.

Many sheep are raised in Surkhandarya. However, their wool is almost never processed. In this regard, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Karakul Breeding is implementing a project based on the Afghan experience in the manufacture of woolen carpets.

The President approved this project and gave instructions on expanding partnerships with Afghan entrepreneurs, increasing the number of woolen sheep.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with women working at the enterprise.

The Silk road tex factory will also be organized here, which will be engaged in the production of fabrics and finished products from silk, sports and travel bags. It is planned to export products worth more than US$2 million a year.
