Uzbek-Korean business forum takes place in Seoul

A business forum, organized by Korean Association of International Trade and Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea, was held in Seoul. The event became logical continuation of business forum “Korea-Uzbekistan 2014”, which was held in Tashkent in February 2014, the Jahon news agency reported.
The business seminar attracted interest of business circles of South Korea. It was attended by officials of the state bodies, diplomatic missions, business and academic circles of South Korea.
Over US$5 billion of South Korean investments were directed to Uzbekistan so far and trade turnover between two nations exceeded US$2.1 billion.
The business seminar familiarized with trade-economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea. The participants discussed implementation of bilateral projects at special industrial-economic zone Navoi, special industrial zones Angren and Jizzakh.
South Korean officials expressed interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan in introduction of new technologies, solar energy and textile sector.
