Uzbek, Kazakh parliamentarians discuss development of cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 June 2019, a delegation of Kazakhstan led by the Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin met with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldoshev.

The current state of inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was discussed at the meeting. The sides exchanged views on development of cooperation in the legislative sphere.

At the meeting, Nigmatulin invited representatives of Uzbekistan’s Parliament to attend international forum of speakers of parliaments of the Eurasian countries, to be held in September 2019 in Nur-Sultan.

Following the dialogue, the parties agreed on approval of practical measures to develop new forms of cooperation, development of inter-parliamentary relations at a new level.

Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Independence Square and laid flowers at the Independence and Humanism Monument, which is a symbol of freedom, bright future and noble aspirations.

At the meeting, held in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, issues of filling inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with new content, implementation on a regular basis of exchange of experience in the legislative sphere were discussed. Moreover, issues of further development of trade-economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, strengthening the legal framework for expanding relations in transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres were discussed.

Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his opinion on consistent continuation of constructive and practical dialogue, further expansion and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is an important factor in development of bilateral relations.

It was noted that continuation of dialogue in this direction is mutually beneficial for both countries.
