Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the opening day of the European Judo Tournament in Prague, the standout performance came from 20-year-old Uzbek athlete Zamokhshari Bekmurodov, who captured the gold medal in the under-73 kg weight category.

This division attracted a record number of participants — 56 judokas — with the final featuring Bekmurodov becoming the highlight of the day.

In the decisive bout, the Uzbek judoka showcased exceptional technique, defeating Ukraine’s Said-Magomed Khalidov in the very first minute with a brilliant armbar — juji-gatame.
