Uzbek-Japanese Academic Forum takes place in Tokyo
Representatives of the universities of Waseda, Nagoya, Meiji and Tsukuba, students and researchers from Uzbekistan, who are studying in Japan, participated at the forum.
During the event, the participants considered current state and perspectives of further developing the Uzbek-Japanese partnership in social-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, Jahon said.
Opening the forum, TUFS Vice President Kayoko Hayasi said that the Japan side pays great attention to deepening and expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in education sphere. She said that the TUFS has been fruitfully cooperating with higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and carry out joint scientific-research projects.
She underlined that high results of the Uzbek students, studying in Japanese universities, is a result of high attention of leadership of Uzbekistan to upbringing harmonically developed youth.
Head of the Uzbek language faculty of the university Mr. Komatsu highly rated work of the academic forum, which became an effective platform for exchange of opinion of the academic circles of two states. He said that currently 25 Japanese students are studying at the faculty. He said that the faculty wants to develop and expand ties with the Uzbek colleagues.
Within the forum, the participants familiarized with the presentations of cultural-historic heritage of Uzbekistan. They also had chance to familiarize with Uzbek cuisine at the forum.
