Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 5 February, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Mansour bin Zoid Al-Nahayyon.

During the meeting, issues of current investment and trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, characterized by growing dynamics due to the accelerated implementation of joint projects initiated during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UAE in March last year.

The prospects of expanding the investment portfolio through the implementation of new projects in the field of petrochemicals, agriculture, tourism and telecommunications were also considered.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on enhancing ongoing cooperation in the framework of ongoing projects and further steps to develop new investment initiatives.
