Uzbek Interior Ministry Delegation Studies China’s Public Security and Cybercrime Practices
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out a working visit to China to study the country’s approaches to public security, cybercrime prevention and digital technologies, the ministry said on Monday. The trip included a series of meetings and practical sessions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
According to the ministry, Interior Minister Aziz Tashpulatov held talks with China’s Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong. The two officials discussed experience-sharing, combating transnational and IT-related crime, professional training, and ways to expand practical cooperation.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the First Research Institute of China’s Ministry of Public Security, where Chinese specialists presented tools and systems for digital security, intelligent video analytics and operational investigative work.
The delegation also met with the Cybercrime Investigation Bureau of China’s Ministry of Public Security. Chinese officials demonstrated early-warning systems for cyberthreats, anti-fraud solutions for electronic payments and technologies for online monitoring. Uzbek representatives reviewed how these practices could be adapted to Uzbekistan’s national cybersecurity system.
In Beijing, the group visited the Public Security Bureau’s Law Enforcement Activity Center to observe digital crime-simulation methods, new types of forensic examinations, and automated systems for analyzing documents and audio-video materials.
The program also included a visit to China’s Public Security University, where the delegation examined training methods and curriculum design.
In Guangdong Province, Chinese officials presented regional systems for monitoring public-order risks, traffic-safety management and the operation of emergency response centers. In Shenzhen, the delegation reviewed the police use of drones, aviation-unit operations and tools to counter online fraud.
Delegates also attended the closing ceremony of the 15th National Games of China to observe security measures at large public events.
The final stop was Huawei’s Songshan Lake science and technology campus, where the company demonstrated digital monitoring platforms, information-security solutions and artificial-intelligence technologies used in public-security operations.
The Interior Ministry said the visit provides a foundation for deeper cooperation with China and will help Uzbekistan integrate modern technologies into its national security system.
