Uzbek Interior Minister receives delegation of Germany

Uzbekistan and Germany have been cooperating in various areas, including in law enforcement. The sides exchange information on wanted persons, in determining data on criminals, etc.

During the meeting, the German specialists familiarized with activities of the Ministry of Interior Ministry, protection of security. The sides discussed issues of developing cooperation.

The sides discussed cooperation in combating terrorism and religious extremism, and illegal drug turnover. They noted that the sides should boost their cooperation in these areas.

The officials also exchanged opinion on situation in Afghanistan and challenges to regional security in context of instability in this country.

At the meeting, the sides reached agreement to keep regular contacts and exchange information on issues of mutual interest.
