Uzbek insurance firms collect premiums for 270.93bn soums in 1H

The volume of premiums on voluntary insurance products made up 183.874 billion soums in the reporting period (+22) and mandatory insurance products – 87.061 billion soums (+22%).

The companies increase insurance payouts by 70% year-on-year in January-June 2015 – to 56.755 billion soums. The volume of payouts on voluntary insurance products reached 35.998 billion soums (+79%) and mandatory insurance products – 20.757 billion soums (+55%).

Insurance liabilities of the industry grew by 10% year-on-year in the first six months of 2015 to 209.224 trillion soums. The liabilities on voluntary insurance products made up 157.345 trillion soums (+7%) and mandatory insurance products – 51.879 trillion soums (+21%).

Investments of insurance companies of Uzbekistan exceeded 681.478 billion soums (+16%), of which deposits were 324.704 billion soums (+14%), securities – 269.42 billion soums (+15%), loans – 7.875 billion soums (+34%), real estate – 27.415 billion soums (+13%). At the same time, the companies invested 49.517 billion soums to charter capital of the enterprises (+30%) and other investments made up – 2.647 billion soums (+1%).

Aggregate charter capital of insurance companies rose by 27% year-on-year to 387.368 billion soums as of the end of the first half of 2015 (in US dollar equivalent – US$64.6 million).

Uzagrosugurta (59.984 billion soums, growth rate – 32.9%), Kafolat (27.538 billion soums, +37.4%), Uzbekinvest (26.058 billion soums, -0.8%), were in Top 3 of companies on the volume of collected insurance premiums in the reporting period.

Uzagrosugurta (13.322 billion soums, +85.2%), Agro Invest Sug’urta (7.558 billion soums,+ 2.84 times) and Uzbekinvest Hayot (7.096 billion soums, +56.5%) were top three companies on the volume of payouts in the first half of 2015.
