Uzbek govnt to pay remuneration to World War II veterans
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree on encouragement of World War II participants on the eve of 9 May, Day of Memory and Honour.
The decree, signed on 27 April, said participants and disabled veterans of World War II will receive limp-sum remuneration worth 50,000 soums.
