Uzbek Govn’t sets import norms for some goods

According to the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, on 22 June 2018, the Cabinet of Uzbekistan issued a resolution, which is directed at ordering the import of goods by individuals.

According to the document, individuals can import 1 unit of the following goods per month without import duties: refrigerator, freezer, air conditioning, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, gas stove, electric stove, TV, microwave, oven, electric meat grinder, iron, hair dryer, food processor, telephone, including a wrist, computer equipment, printer and multifunctional office device, tablet computer, laptop and tableware (kit).

At the same time, individuals can import up to 2 liters of alcoholic beverages, including beer, per day, up to 10 packets of tobacco products, 3 pieces of perfume and colognes, and up to 65 grams of jewelry.

The customs authorities of Uzbekistan will collect customs fees if the individuals exceed set volume or period of importing.
