Uzbek-German Business Forum takes place in Berlin

According to Jahon news agency, more than 100 representatives of major German companies, banks and international financial institutions attended the business forum.

The forum was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy and Deutsche Bank.

The participants of the business forum were informed about current economic development of Uzbekistan, measures taken to modernize industrial enterprises, improve the business climate, priority areas of investment cooperation, including within the free economic zones.

The delegation of Uzbekistan held presentations of promising investment projects in the pharmaceutical, chemical and textile industries. Particular emphasis was put on the main aspects of the Development Strategy of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

As part of the event, the delegation of Uzbekistan held negotiations with representatives of business circles in Germany.

After the talks, the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Investments and Siemens signed a memorandum on understanding.
