Uzbek-French business forum held in Paris

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek-French business forum was held in Paris (France).

Representatives of Uzbekistan and France discussed the development of cooperation between the countries.

French business circles received information on the economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, factors of development of small business and private entrepreneurship, and prospects for investments.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects in various fields.

During the forum, specialists of Uzbekenergo, Uzstroymaterialy, Uzsharobsanoat, Uzcharmsanoat, large domestic enterprises and private entrepreneurship representatives held talks with representatives of almost 100 large French manufacturing companies, small and medium businesses.

The participants discussed the prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Issues related to the implementation of new investment projects, including their main parameters and sources of financing, were also considered.

In 2017, mutual trade turnover reached US$251.6 million. From January to August of this 2018, this figure made up US$195.1 million.
