Uzbek Foreign Ministry publishes list of victims of road accident in Kazakhstan

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, at 10:20 on 22 June 2017 the two-story Mercedes passenger bus rolled over in Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 946 km of the Samara-Shymkent route.

During the road accident, there were 52 people on the bus, 50 of them are citizens of Uzbekistan and 2 - citizens of Kazakhstan. The bus was heading on route Volgograd-Shymkent.

According to preliminary information, as a result of the accident, 9 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed.

Another 18 people - 17 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan – were taken to the hospital. Medical assistance on the spot was provided to 25 injured people.

The victims were taken to the Komsomol hospital in the Aytekebi district of the Aktyubinsk region, where they receive the necessary medical care.

The victims, who received minor injuries as a result of the road accident, are undergoing psychological rehabilitation.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan noted that it transferred information about the dead and injured citizens of Uzbekistan to the subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and regional khokimiats to inform relatives and friends.
