Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 November, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade with a delegation of representatives of the European Business Association, headed by its chairman, I. Vanderplaets.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further development of bilateral cooperation in the context of strengthening the presence of European business in Uzbekistan, largely thanks to the country's socio-economic reforms that contribute to improving the investment climate and enhancing international trade and economic relations.

Significant progress was noted in the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of the range of trade with key partners from France, Germany, Hungary and other European countries, work with which is carried out on a systematic basis, in accordance with approved roadmaps and agreements.

Vanderplaets emphasized that Uzbekistan is currently an excellent platform for introducing advanced European technologies with the aim of organizing the production of high-tech products and their subsequent export to third-country markets.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined key areas for further cooperation, with the goal of strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries to expand investment and trade and economic partnerships.

Later, within the framework of the visit, the delegation of the Association of European Businesses organized "G2B" and "B2B" meetings with the participation of ministries, departments and business circles of Uzbekistan.
