Uzbek FM receives newly appointed Indian envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Shri Vikram Kumar Doraiswami on 18 November 2014.

Indian Ambassador handed over a copy of his credentials, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The sides considered current state and priority directions of developing Uzbek-Indian cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as actual regional and international issues.

The officials confirmed interest of the sates to expand mutual trade, realization of existing significant potential on creation of joint projects in various sectors of economy.

The sides also discussed proposals on boosting contacts in cultural-humanitarian spheres.
