Uzbek FM receives newly appointed Ambassador of Venezuela

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 June 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with residence in Tehran, Carlos Antonio Alcalá Cordones.

Accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him fruitful work, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The current state and prospects for development of Uzbekistan – Venezuela relations were discussed both in a bilateral format and within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.

Mutual interest was expressed in enhancing cooperation, primarily in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian fields.
