Uzbek FM receives new envoy of Serbia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received a newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Slavenko Terzić on 22 October 2013.

Ambassador handed over credentials addressed to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the meeting, the sides considered current state and perspectives of the Uzbek-Serbian cooperation.

The sides expressed mutual interest in further deepening political dialogue, institutionalization of relations in various fields, including through the conclusion of bilateral treaties and agreements.

The officials noted that establishing regular consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two nations, direct contacts between business circles of Uzbekistan and Serbia meet interests of both sides.

The diplomats also considered separate international and regional issues.
