Uzbek FM receives director of department of EEAS
Gunnar Wiegand is heading a delegation of the EU, which arrived in Tashkent to participate in the session of Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Committee.
The sides considered issues of developing bilateral relations and implementation of agreements reached at the session of the Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Council, which was held in Brussels on 17 March 2014, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
Exchange of opinion affirmed existence of mutual interest in further deepening interaction in various areas, including joint work on perspective projects related to economic and social progress, protection of environment, strengthening parliament system, reforming judicial-legal and education spheres, development of civil society.
The sides also exchange opinion on actual international issues.
The head of the EU delegation in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Yuriy Sterk also attended the talks.
