Uzbek FM receives delegation of China

The sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of the Uzbek-Chinese relations, as well as international and regional issues, the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

It was noted at the meeting that Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two states are controlling implementation of agreements, reached during the visit of Uzbek President Islam Karimov to China in June 2012 and the visit of the President of China Xi Jinping to Uzbekistan in September 2013.

The agreement on friendship and cooperation and joint declaration on further developing and deepening relations of strategic partnership, as well as a large package of mutual beneficial agreements and contracts for US$15 billion, signed in Tashkent, gave new impulse to strengthening relations between two states and nations.

The sides also considered course of preparation to upcoming first official visit to Uzbekistan of the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

The sides discussed other issues of bilateral cooperation.

On the same day, the sessions of the sub-committee on cooperation in security issues of the Uzbek-Chinese intergovernmental committee and political consultations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and China at the level of deputy ministers were held in Tashkent.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Uzbekistan Zhang Xiao participated at the meetings.
