Uzbek FM Receives Credentials from New Serbian Ambassador
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 October, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Serbia to Uzbekistan, Momčilo Babić.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further develop friendly relations and cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and other areas.
It should be noted that in February 2022, Momčilo Babić assumed his duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation, simultaneously serving as Serbia’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.
It should be noted that, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, will visit Uzbekistan on an official visit from October 28 to 31. The events aim to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
