Uzbek FM meets with President of Switzerland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Swiss Confederation, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Didier Burkhalter on 21 November 2014. Didier Burkhalter arrived in Uzbekistan on 21 November.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that the sides discussed actual aspects of the Uzbek-Swiss relations. The cooperation within the OSCE was also considered at the talks.

The sides also exchanged opinion on regional and international issues.

After the talks, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding between Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Swiss Confederation. The document determines forms and main directions of regular consultations between two bodies.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Swiss Confederation Nicolas Brühl participated in the talks.
