Uzbek FM meets with Iranian Industry Minister
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
On 17 October, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Minister of industry, mine and trade of Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari in Tehran.
The meeting saw Foreign Trade Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev and other members of the delegation, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties discussed prospects of deepening cooperation in transport and communications, confirmed the readiness to develop relations in the framework of agreement concerning the international transport corridor Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan–Iran–Oman, which was signed in April 2011.
The sides also exchanged views on the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
