Uzbek FM meets with Acting US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs

The meeting was held in New York. According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, the diplomats discussed prospects for deepening cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The sides confirmed that they attach great importance to further development of a multifaceted dialogue between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The parties noted that the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with representatives of business circles and the Uzbek-American business forum, which took place in New York on 19-20 September 2017, will give a new impetus to building mutually beneficial relations among the business circles of the two countries.

Abdulaziz Kamilov and Alice Wells examined other issues on the full-fledged bilateral agenda, as well as current international and regional issues.
