Uzbek FM holds talks with new Lithuanian envoy

The envoy handed over credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the sides considered current state and priorities of developing bilateral relations in various spheres, including within cooperation between Uzbekistan and EU. They also exchanged opinion on some international issues.

The sides vowed to continue and deepen the Uzbek-Lithuanian dialogue in politics, trade-economic, investment and other sphere.

The sides underlined there is significant potential to expand relations between business circles of Uzbekistan and Lithuania, including through realization of joint projects in free industrial-economic zone Navoi, special industrial zone Angren and Jizzakh, where investors can receive serous tax and customs preferences.

At the meeting, the sides also considered issues of boosting contacts between science and education institutes, culture workers, public organizations of two nations.
