Uzbek FM holds negotiations with Japanese envoy for Central Asia

The meeting was held within the next round of political consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Japan.

At the meeting, the sides considered various aspects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan and exchanged opinion on several international and regional issues, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The sides expressed mutual interest to develop Uzbek-Japanese political dialogue, expand trade-economic and investment cooperation. They also considered schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts and terms of holding next session of intergovernmental cooperation institutes.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Fumihiko Kato participated at the talks.
