Uzbek Farmers’ Delegation Studies China’s Experience in Cotton and Grain Production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbek farmers, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Farmers’ Council and Executive Director of the Farmers’ Support Fund, Tulkin Sattarov, conducted a working visit to China to study advanced agricultural practices, according to Dunyo news agency.
During the visit, the Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a training seminar for the delegation titled “Studying China’s Experience in Cotton and Grain Production.” The event was attended by experts from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry.
At the seminar, Uzbek farmers became acquainted with modern agrotechnologies, high-yield varieties of cotton and grain crops, scientific solutions for the efficient use of water and other resources, as well as methods for organizing production processes effectively, as applied in China.
The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences serves as the country’s leading national center for research and innovation in agriculture, while the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry focuses on practical implementation of scientific developments and direct engagement with farmers to enhance production efficiency.
Upon completing the training program, participants received certificates of participation.
The visit and educational activities are considered highly significant for the further development of cotton and grain production in Uzbekistan and for adapting advanced foreign practices to local conditions.
Additionally, the delegation took part in the international agricultural conference in Beijing, “New Year — New Opportunities in Foreign Markets,” which focused on expanding international trade and economic cooperation, promoting farmers’ products abroad, increasing export potential, and implementing modern agrotechnologies.
At the conference, industry representatives, experts, and investors from various countries discussed innovations, sustainable development, and the creation of added value in agricultural production.
During the visit, farmers also visited the city of Taiya, where they studied high-efficiency machinery and modern technologies for cultivating mulberry. Particular attention was given to resource-saving production methods, digitalization, product processing, and building export-oriented production chains.
